TCEQ PST Submissions Update

EPermitting on STEERS

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has made a big update to their State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS) EPermitting. You are now able to renew, make owner/operator updates, and make changes to your Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) registration through their online service. You’ll also able to submit a registration for a new PST with STEERS.

This program has built-in error identification in effort to minimize the occurrence of errors within your submissions. This new addition will also speed up the processing time.

Typical timeline for STEERS:

  • 7 Days

Typical timeline for TCEQ-00724 Form:

  • 20 Days

Submit online and save some time!

Can I Still Use the Traditional Submission Pathway?

Absolutely! In addition to the online system, the TCEQ is rolling out a new TCEQ-00724 UST Registration and Self-Certification Form. This form allows you to renew, make owner/operator updates, and changes to your PST registration.

Beginning November 1st, 2025, the TCEQ will no longer accept TCEQ-00724 forms with dates prior to August 2025 located at the bottom of the form. You must complete all bold sections on the newest version. The TCEQ will not accept any incomplete or inaccurate forms.

A friendly reminder that you must submit an annual renewal by the first day of the month that your delivery certificate expiration states. Use the Delivery Certificates Search to find information regarding certificate expiration dates and other basic relevant information.

Submit Your Documents Via Fax, Email, or Mail?

Use the Incoming Document Search Portal to get status information on your submissions! You’ll be able to view if the TCEQ has received or processed your submission. Please do allow 1 business day after submission by fax or email and 5 business days after mail to check on the status.
